Sandpaper and Emery Cloth Manufacturer
Rex manufactures paper-backed sandpaper and cloth-backed emery cloth in sheets and rolls, with four abrasives: aluminum oxide, zirconia, silicon carbide and ceramic. Sheets can go straight to retail. Rolls supply factories and converters, who slit them into strips, sheets or hand rolls.

Sheets or Rolls
Sheet sizes and roll widths and lengths can all be customized.
Sheets
for retail channels, repair and hand sanding; use them as is or cut them into smaller pieces
Rolls
for factories and converters; cut to need, or slit into strips, sheets and hand rolls for resale
Backing Weight
Heavier backing is thicker and more durable. Lighter backing is softer and conforms better to the workpiece.
- A/B-weight paper thin and soft, for hand fine sanding
- C/D-weight paper medium, for hand and machine sanding
- E/F-weight paper heavy, for machine sanding and heavy-duty work
- J-weight cloth soft, for contours and hand rolls
- X-weight cloth medium, general purpose
- Y-weight cloth heavy, for heavy-duty work

Roll Slitting and Conversion
Rex rolls can be supplied as semi-finished material to conversion customers:
- Slitting into narrow strips
- Cutting into sheets
- Making hand rolls (shop rolls)
If you have your own slitting equipment, you can buy rolls directly. If not, Rex can make the finished products for you.
